Scenario Lingo ("the Service") is operated by CJ Meridian LLC. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what your choices are. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run a language-learning service, we never sell your data, and everything you create stays exportable.

What we collect

Account: your email address and authentication data (via Supabase, our database provider). If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your email from them — nothing else.
Learning content: scenarios you save, corrections collected in your notebook, and conversations you choose to keep. Stored so they sync across your devices.
Usage metering: counters of how many generations, replies, and audio requests you've used — this is how your credit balance works. We do not store the content of your roleplay messages on our servers beyond what you explicitly save.
Payments: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details — we only receive your subscription status.
Free preview (no account): a one-way hash of your IP address, used only to enforce the monthly free-preview limit. The raw IP is not stored.

What we send to AI providers

To generate vocabulary, roleplay replies, corrections, audio, and transcriptions, your inputs are processed by our AI providers (Google Gemini, Microsoft Azure Speech, Groq). Voice recordings are sent for transcription and are not retained by us. We do not use your content to train models.

Analytics

We use cookieless, privacy-friendly analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) to count page views. No cross-site tracking, no advertising identifiers, no cookies.

Your rights

Export: Settings → Data → "Export my data" downloads everything you've created as JSON, any time.
Deletion: email us and we'll delete your account and all associated data.
Access/correction: contact us at the address below.

Data retention

Your content is kept for as long as your account exists. If your subscription ends, everything you saved stays readable on the free plan — we never delete your data for downgrading.

Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we'll note it here with a new "Last updated" date.
